The Challenge
With the rapid shift toward urban EV sharing and subscription services leading up to 2030, conventional automotive interfaces fail to meet the needs of diverse drivers. The key challenge was designing a future-proof HMI for shared mobility that offers seamless personalization while actively mitigating driver fatigue and safety risks.
The Solution
A next-generation digital instrument panel tailored for shared EVs. By removing legacy analog clutter (needles and scales), the design introduces a sleek, intuitive layout with customizable map displays and personalizable color themes. Additionally, science-backed lighting and display adjustments were integrated to reduce eye strain, combat driver drowsiness, and maximize on-road safety.
